A Teflon liner is bonded to the inner surface of the race, and sliding motion occurs between the ball spherical surface and the Teflon liner surface.

The Teflon liner has self-lubricating properties, so lubricants such as grease are not required.

Therefore, it is effective for use in places where oil is undesirable or where lubrication is difficult or impossible.

Additionally, since it does not require a lubrication mechanism, it is also effective in reducing maintenance costs.

The Teflon type spherical is suitable for use under low-speed oscillation.

It also exhibits relatively good performance under vibrational load. Therefore, if the metal type has excessive friction or tends to cause seizure or fatigue failure, or if fretting of the sliding surfaces becomes a problem, replacing it with the Teflon type is an effective countermeasure.
