A Teflon liner is bonded to the inner race surface, allowing for sliding motion between the ball spherical surface and the Teflon liner surface.

The Teflon liner has self-lubricating properties, eliminating the need for lubricants such as grease.

Therefore, it is effective for use in places where oil is undesirable or lubrication is difficult or impossible.

Additionally, since it does not require a lubrication mechanism, it is effective in reducing maintenance costs.

The Teflon type spherical is suitable for use under low-speed oscillation.

It also exhibits relatively good performance under vibrational loads. Thus, replacing with the Teflon type can be an effective measure in cases where the metal type has excessive friction, is prone to seizing or fatigue failure, or where fretting at the sliding surfaces is problematic.
