The Teflon liner is bonded to the inner diameter surface of the race, allowing for sliding motion between the ball spherical surface and the Teflon liner surface.

Since the Teflon liner has self-lubricating properties, lubricants such as grease are unnecessary.

Therefore, it is effective for use in places where oil is undesirable or lubrication is difficult or impossible.

Additionally, because it does not require a lubrication mechanism, it helps reduce maintenance costs.

The Teflon type spherical is suitable for use under low-speed oscillation.

It also exhibits relatively good performance under vibrational load. Thus, when the metal type experiences excessive friction, seizing, or fatigue failure, or when fretting at the sliding surface becomes an issue, replacing it with the Teflon type is an effective countermeasure.
