A Teflon liner is bonded to the inner diameter surface of the race, allowing for sliding motion between the ball’s spherical surface and the Teflon liner surface.

Since the Teflon liner has self-lubricating properties, lubricants such as grease are unnecessary.

Therefore, it is effective for use in areas where oil is undesirable or lubrication is difficult or impossible.

Additionally, because it does not require a lubrication mechanism, it effectively reduces maintenance costs.

The Teflon type spherical is suitable for use under low-speed oscillation.

It also exhibits relatively good performance under vibration loads. Thus, when there are issues such as excessive friction with metal types or susceptibility to seizure and fatigue damage, it is effective to replace it with the Teflon type as a countermeasure.
