The Teflon liner is bonded to the inner diameter surface of the race, allowing for sliding motion between the ball’s spherical surface and the Teflon liner surface.

Since the Teflon liner has self-lubricating properties, lubricants such as grease are not required.

Therefore, it is effective for use in places where oil is undesirable or where lubrication is difficult or impossible.

Additionally, since it does not require a lubrication mechanism, it can effectively reduce maintenance costs.

The Teflon type spherical is suitable for use under low-speed oscillation.

It also exhibits relatively good performance under vibrational loads. Therefore, if there are issues with excessive friction, seizing, or fatigue failure with metal types, or if fretting at the sliding surface is a concern, replacing with the Teflon type can be an effective measure.
