A Teflon liner is bonded to the inner race surface, allowing for sliding motion between the ball’s spherical surface and the Teflon liner surface.

The Teflon liner has self-lubricating properties, eliminating the need for lubricants such as grease.

Therefore, it is effective for use in areas where oil is undesirable or lubrication is difficult or impossible.

Additionally, since it does not require a lubrication mechanism, it is effective in reducing maintenance costs.

The Teflon type spherical is suitable for use under low-speed oscillation.

It also exhibits relatively good performance under vibrational loads. Therefore, when the metal type experiences excessive friction, risks of seizure or fatigue failure, or issues like fretting on sliding surfaces, replacing it with the Teflon type is an effective countermeasure.
