The Teflon liner is bonded to the inner surface of the raceway, and sliding motion occurs between the ball’s spherical surface and the Teflon liner surface.

The Teflon liner is self-lubricating, so lubricants like grease are unnecessary.

Thus, it is effective for use in locations where oil is undesirable or lubrication is difficult or impossible.

Additionally, since it does not require a lubrication mechanism, it also helps reduce maintenance costs.

The Teflon type spherical is suitable for use under low-speed oscillating conditions.

It also exhibits relatively good performance under vibration loads. Therefore, if the metal type has too much friction or is prone to seizure or fatigue failure, or if fretting at the sliding surface becomes a problem, replacing it with the Teflon type can be an effective measure.
